Resize settings
Set the target file size and maximum output dimensions.
Output dimensionsUnchecked: keep the photo proportions and fit within the maximum width and height. Example: a 289 × 371 photo with 200 × 200 limits becomes 156 × 200. Checked: output becomes exactly 200 × 200.
By default, the photo keeps its proportions and is only reduced to fit within the maximum width and height. Enable exact dimensions only if you want the output to match both numbers; this can stretch the photo. The target file size is a maximum and may not be achievable at every dimension.

Free Photo Resizer by KB
Use the JIOPDF photo resizer to reduce an image to a smaller file size for online forms, applications and document uploads. Choose a target size in KB, set the maximum width and height in pixels, then select Compress & Download. The tool creates a JPG output in your browser; the final file size can vary with the photo and its dimensions, so an exact KB value is not guaranteed for every image.
Resize a photo to 20 KB, 50 KB or 100 KB
Enter the maximum file size requested by the website or form—for example, 20 KB, 50 KB or 100 KB. The target is a size limit, not a promise that every output will be exactly that size. If a photo cannot fit under the limit at the chosen dimensions, the tool may reduce its dimensions further. Always check the destination form's official file-size and pixel requirements before submitting.
Control image dimensions in pixels
Use Max width and Max height to limit the output dimensions. The image is scaled proportionally to fit within both limits. This is useful when a form asks for a particular maximum width or height as well as a small file size. For cropping or other image edits, try the Image Resizer, Image Cropper or Photo Editor.
How to reduce photo size in KB
1. Select a photo from your device. 2. Enter the target size in KB. 3. Set maximum width and height in pixels. 4. Select Compress & Download and check the downloaded JPG's size and dimensions. If it is still too large, try lower pixel limits. The photo is processed in your browser by this page.
The target is treated as a maximum file size. Exact output size depends on image content, dimensions and compression; some images may end up smaller than the target.
Can I set the image width and height?
Yes. Enter maximum width and height in pixels. The photo is scaled proportionally to fit within both limits.
What format will I download?
The tool downloads a JPG output. If the selected file is already a suitable JPEG under the target size and within the dimension limits, the original JPEG may be kept to avoid unnecessary recompression.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
This page processes the photo in your browser. The tool's image resizing and compression run locally in the browser.
