Image dimensions
Optional resize before compression
Leave width and height empty to keep the original dimensions. MM/CM are converted using the selected DPI.
Compression results depend on image content and format. If the target size cannot be reached without excessive quality or resolution loss, the tool will tell you. Keep original files for important use.
How to compress an image to a specific KB size
- Select one or more images from your device, or drag them into the upload area.
- Enter your target size, such as 50 KB or 100 KB, and choose an output format.
- Optionally set width and height. Choose Pixels, MM or CM; set DPI when using physical units.
- Click Compress Images, review the output size and dimensions, then download the result.
This free online image compressor processes supported files on your device using your browser. Image content and format affect the final file size. PNG files may not reach a small target size because lossless PNG compression cannot always reduce image data enough.
Frequently asked questions
Can I compress an image to exactly 50 KB?
The tool tries to meet the target size. Exact results depend on the image, selected format, dimensions and quality; some images cannot reach the target without substantial quality or resolution loss.
Are my images uploaded to JIOPDF?
No. This page processes selected images locally in your browser. Your image files are not sent to JIOPDF by this compressor.
Can I compress multiple images at once?
Yes. Select or drag multiple supported images, compress them together, review each result and download files individually or use Download all results.
What do Pixels, MM and CM mean?
Pixels set the image dimensions directly. Millimetres and centimetres are converted to pixels using the DPI value you choose. DPI conversion describes output dimensions; it does not guarantee print quality.
Which output format should I choose?
JPG and WebP are often useful when you need smaller photographic images. PNG is useful when transparency or lossless output matters, but PNG may not reach a very small target size. Browser support for WebP can vary.
